HOBBIT RAPPERS QUICKBEAM AND BOMBADIL HIT THE WEST COAST!

TOUR DATES IN LOS ANGELES AND SAN FRANCISCO TO COINCIDE WITH 76th ANNUAL
ACADEMY AWARDS

http://www.lordsoftherhymes.com

Quickbeam and Bombadil, the pre-eminent Hobbit rappers in all of
Middle-Earth and lands beyond, will hit the West coast at the end of
February for a series of shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The tour --
which coincides with the 76th Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles -- marks
the duo's first live performances outside of the humble shire of New York
City.

"In fine Tolkien tradition, we're sailing West," rapper Quickbeam said today
in a statement issued from his sprawling crib in the highlands of
Dorthonion. "Its time to rock the farther shores."

"Thas'right," added Bombadil, the gold-toothed rapper known for his love of
mead and loose elf-women. "We're a little miffed that our video was
overlooked by the academy, but we'll come out and rock the joint
nonetheless."

In Los Angeles, the Lords will make a special guest appearance at 'Return of
the One Party' the official fan party for Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings
films. The party, hosted by theonering.net, will be held on Oscar night one
block from the Kodak theater in Hollywood. The Lords will also play shows at
Club Echo in Silverlake and at the Elbo Room in San Francisco.

The duo's high-energy shows, which often attract throngs of riotous elf
maidens, feature a host of characters including Gollum, the Grey Pilgrim,
the Witch King of Angmar, and even the Dark Lord himself. While in Los
Angeles, the Lords will also take the opportunity to shoot the video for
their upcoming booty-bass track: 'Back That Elf Up.'

"Picture convertibles, palm trees, umbrella drinks, and all the elf girls
you an shake a twig at." said Bombadil. "Throw some hairy feet up in there
and you've got the idea."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

RAPPERS QUICKBEAM AND BOMBADIL NAMED 'BEST HOBBIT-THEMED RAP GROUP' BY THE
VILLAGE VOICE

http://www.villagevoice.com/bestof/2003/detail.php?id=3611

Hobbit mega-stars Quickbeam and Bombadil-- aka the Lords of the Rhymes --
were named 'Best Hobbit-Themed Rap Group' by the Village Voice today in the
publication's annual 'Best of NYC' issue. The rappers -- whose eponymous
single and follow up hit: 'Nine Fingered Frodo' have shattered all previous
hobbit rap sales records -- are credited with single-handedly resurrecting
the dying art of hobbit rap.

"We're very honored that the Village Voice chose us over all those other
Hobbit-themed rap groups," rapper Quickbeam said in an exclusive interview
given today.

"True that" added Bombadil, "Out of the thousands of Hobbit-themed rap
groups out there, they chose us. And that makes a hobbit feel pretty good."

Despite the accolades, controversy is growing around the Lords. Tolkien
scholar Dr. Tayshawn Greensleeve, Chair of the Medieval Languages Department
at Greater South Dade Community College, has taken it upon himself to debunk
the entire hobbit-rap phenomena, and has publicly accused the Lords of
appropriating Dwarvish music. On top of it all, rapper Bombadil -- whose
love of mead and loose elf-women is epitomized by the lyric: 'I drink a half
pint of bitter/smoke a pocketful of Toby/I'm on the mic like Sam is on
Rosie'-- is facing at least nine outstanding paternity suits from distraught
elf-maidens.

The Lords are currently in the middle of a mammoth 178-day video shoot for
their upcoming 'Behind the Music' documentary. The 1/2 hour piece will
feature unreleased tracks, live footage, and rare interviews with Gollum,
the Dark Lord, and the entire cast and production crew of the Lords of the
Rhymes' chart-topping video. It will be released on DVD in December (or
thereabouts). Look for the trailer next week on www.lordsoftherhymes.com!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

LORDS OF THE RHYMES RELEASE WILDLY ANTICIPATED NEW SINGLE
'NINE-FINGERED FRODO AND THE RING OF DOOM'

SONG SET TO SMASH ALL PREVIOUSLY HELD HOBBIT RAP SALES RECORDS

Quickbeam and Bombadil, the cream of the hobbit rap crop, released their new
single today, sending fear into the hearts of the enemy and sparking riots
in many parts of the Southfarthing. The track, available at
http://www.lordsoftherhymes.com, was recorded live at Bilbo Baggins'
eleventy-first birthday bash and is entitled 'Nine-Fingered Frodo and the
Ring of Doom.'

"We wanted to give our fans an epic summer jam," said Bombadil, the
gold-toothed hobbit-rapper famed for his hard-hitting beats and Old Forest
antics. "And we wanted to give a little taste of how we kick it live."

The Lords of the Rhymes have single-handedly resurrected the dying art of
hobbit rap.  Their first single and subsequent video have become a
Middle-earth-wide sensation, garnering hundreds of thousands of downloads,
oodles of fan mail, and sending sucker MCs cowering into the deep dark places of
the world.

"It's good to be a hobbit rapper these days" confirmed Quickbeam, rolling
through Hobbiton with an elf-girl on each arm. "But you know, despite all
the fame, we're still straight Shire. And I'm still Beam from the block."

The release of the single is the beginning of a busy summer for the Lords.
On June 3rd the diminutive duo will host a video release party at Tonic in
New York City, at which they will be debuting new material as well as
performing their time-proven hits.  The two have already begun work on a
behemoth long-format behind-the-music documentary that will blow the lid off
the entire hobbit rap phenomenon.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

THE WAIT IS OVER...THE ADVENTURE BEGINS...THE LORDS OF THE RHYMES DEBUT VIDEO IS HERE!!!

Quickbeam and Bombadil, the foremost rappers and rhymebusters in all of Middle Earth,
released the much anticipated video to their hit song 'Lords of the Rhymes' today.
The video is available online at http://www.lordsoftherhymes.com

The video, directed by famed hip-hop director Curufin the Crafty (aka Morgan Barnard)
features a bevy of Middle-Earthian characters, including hobbits, dwarves, ents, elves,
Nazgul, and even a cameo appearance by the Dark Lord Sauron himself.

" There was no half-steppin' on this one," said Quickbeam in a statement released yesterday,
" We knew we had to turn it out large and we did."

The much-anticipated, multi-million dollar video stalled in production, reportedly due to unseasonable
temperatures in the greater Hobbiton area and unreasonable requests from cast members.

" I don't want to name and names, but it was Gollum who really killed us," rapper Bombadil confided.
" We brought the guy in for one beatbox session and the primadonna wanted chilled caviar and
tuna tartar. His per diem alone took us way over budget."

The news of the video's release was not without controversy. Rioting elf-girls looted
several Tower records outlets, and police had to be called in. The society for the
preservation of good hobbit morals was also concerned about Gollum's revealing loincloth.

The Lords of the Rhymes' self-titled track has created a buzz throughout Middle-Earth and
beyond, with 40,000 downloads and counting. Currently, the band is working on three
follow up songs, which will be completed... sometime.

LORDS OF THE RHYMES WIN ESQUIRE MAGAZINE'S 'LEAST LIKELY TO GET LAID' AWARD.

Hobbit Rappers take the opportunity to dispel certain myths about the sex life of Tolkien fans.

http://www.lordsoftherhymes.com

Quickbeam and Bombadil, Middle-Earth's foremost Hobbit rappers, were listed
in Esquire Magazine's 'culture awards' this month. (March 2003, pg. 64)
The magazine pronounced the diminutive duo "Least likely to get laid."

" We'd like to thank the obviously well-sexed staff writers at Esquire and
their equally virile readership for recognizing the valuable contribution
that hobbit rap has made to our society," said rapper Quickbeam in a
statement issued today from his sprawling crib in the Southfarthing.

" But we'd also like to address what we see as a disturbing media trend.
This whole 'Tolkien fans never get laid' shit is just tired."

Since the release of the 'Fellowship of the Ring' in December 2001, the sex
life of Tolkien fans has been the brunt of jokes on late night talk shows and
comedy shows, and in newspapers and magazines. Psychologists have
attributed the phenomena to a type of reverse envy, in which formerly popular
underachievers feel threatened when the nerds they teased in high school
end up having more satisfying sex lives than their own.

" It's understandable that the writers at Esquire are threatened by our
virility," Quickbeam went on. "I mean, we are some mackin' hobbits."

" S'right," added Bomabadil "And who wants to be outshagged by a midget?"
Further details of the Lords' sexual exploits will be illuminated in their upcoming song:
" Back that elf up," which features the lyric: 'My fly elf girl's got pointy little ears/
I been rockin' that bottom for five thousand years...'

HOBBIT RAPPERS WIN PRESTIGIOUS 'UNFORTUNATE SITE OF THE WEEK'
AWARD FROM TIME OUT NEW YORK.

http://www.lordsoftherhymes.com

Sweeping aside the competition with their hard-hitting beats and unparalleled hobbit rhymes,
Middle Earth's foremost rappers were presented today with the prestigious 'unfortunate site
of the week' award from Time Out New York. (December 26 - January 2 issue, pg. 150)

The New York based publication--whose succinct presentation of weekly events in all five
boroughs has taken the seemingly simple art of calendar listings to before unseen levels
--urged readers: 'Don't visit this site.'

" Props to Time Out" hobbit-rapper Quickbeam said in a statement issued today from his
winter crib in the highlands of Dorthonion. "They are a quality publication. Whenever we
roll through NYC and we need to know where a club or restaurant is, we just pick up a
Time Out and its amazing how fast we can find the address."

" Thas'right," added Bombadil, "Time Out is the shit. I particularly like the way they separate
out the days of the week...That shit is so genius. Its like each day of the week has its own section.
That way you never confuse an event happening on Monday with one on Tuesday.
That takes a rare talent."

Following the monumental success of their eponymous first single, the Lords are enjoying a
Yulemath holiday in Middle Earth, after which time they will begin work on their forthcoming video.
When asked what to expect in the video...

" Three words, said Quickbeam. "Flying orc heads."
